Slow Fashion Talks
You know these evenings that you, by accident, come across a TED talk that gets you excited about a certain topic. And because of that excitement you can’t stop watching other, similar talks? I have that quite regularly. Therefor I created a must-see list of TED talks on slow fashion.
Lucy Siegle
This clever lady is a British journalist, and writer on environmental issues. She will give you all the details on our consumption and the impact it has on the environment. She will give you some tips on how you can make changes through easy steps.
Patrick Woodyard
Patrick Woodyard shows that men can be clever too. He is the co-founder of Nisolo shoes, a sustainable shoe company. You will not only learn about the industry, you will also get more info on how they as a company try to improve the industry.
Christina Dean
This inspiring woman knows her numbers. You will learn facts about the industry, which she tells in a fun way. With her company, Redress, she reduces textile waste in the fashion industry. You go Girl!
Clara Vuletich
Last but not least, this TED-talk from Clara Vuletich, who talks about values. How we might need to change our own values and how we need to become more mindful lovers of fashion.
After watching [a few] of the above TED-talks, I think you’ll have a pretty clear view of the fashion industry. If you want to find out a bit more, than you can check out some great documentaries, and inspiring books.
